Dynamic Grading v2.0.4 Update Released

Last updated: October 13, 2025

We’re pleased to share that a new maintenance update for Dynamic Grading is out now! With v2.0.4, we’ve focused on the small details that make a big difference. The update is a direct response to the ideas and requests we’ve received from you, our users, and a prime example of how Dynamic Grading keeps evolving with the people who use it.

Dynamic Grading v2.0.4 adds full support for importing patches from version 1.3, ensuring you can easily transfer your settings and continue working seamlessly across versions. The update also introduces parameter text entry for ratio and gain sliders, as well as threshold markers, giving greater precision when fine-tuning dynamics.

Further refinements include improved range checking behaviour for automation and controller mappings, and more accurate host-reported values for the Time Window parameter when using the “Set Time Window in Seconds” option. Visual consistency has also been improved, resolving incorrect display issues for gain values and the smart latency button.

Updates at a Glance

  • Support for importing patches from Dynamic Grading 1.3 via Copy/Paste
  • Parameter text entry for ratio and gain sliders, and threshold markers
  • Improved range checking behaviour for automation and controller assignments

Thanks, as always, for your feedback and support. Every update we release is shaped by your input and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

New to Dynamic Grading?

Dynamic Grading 2 reimagines dynamic processing with a more intuitive and visual approach. Instead of thinking in terms of thresholds and ratios, you can directly shape the punchbody, and floor of your signal using dynamic histograms. It’s a completely different way to control compression and expansion — one that makes everything from transient shaping and noise cleanup to adding depth and weight faster and more musical.

We’ve also packed in features like multi-channel support up to 9.1.6, a “magic eye” spectral display, and a range of factory presets that you can tweak and save to suit your workflow.

And just one more thing…

We’re excited to reveal that Dynamic Grading 2 has just been nominated for a Sound on Sound award, officially making it one of the best music software plugin releases of this past year!
