Website Analytics
Our website uses Matomo Analytics to analyze the behavior of the website visitors to identify potential and improve user experience. Matomo is a privacy friendly website analytics software. Your user behaviour is be recorded anonymously, and no data is transferred to servers outside the control of Playfair Audio.
When enabled, Matomo uses cookies to help analyze your use of our website. The information on usage is transferred to Playfair Audio and saved for analysis purpose. Your IP address will be immediately anonymized. Thus, as a user, you remain anonymous. The information generated by Matomo and the cookie will not be passed on to third parties.

Newsletter
We use a self-hosted email list management software, Sendy, to manage and send email communications. All customer data, including email addresses, names, and any other personal information provided for email subscription purposes, is stored securely on servers under our direct control. No third parties, other than our hosting provider, have access to this data.
Our hosting provider, Netcup GmbH, provides the server infrastructure and may have access to the hardware for maintenance and security purposes. However, they do not access or process your personal data beyond what is necessary to provide reliable hosting services.
We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
You can unsubscribe from our email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails. Upon unsubscribing, your data will be removed from our email list, though it may be retained in our backup systems for a limited period in accordance with our data retention policies.
Contact Form
When you use the contact form on our website, the information you enter in the form is transmitted to Playfair Audio to enable us to answer your questions and/or fulfill your customer support requests. No data other than the data you enter in the form is collected.
The data collected when using our contact form and further resulting communication with us is stored for 24 months. We regularly delete data older than 24 months.
Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Purchasing
When you purchase our products through our website, you are interacting with our reseller FastSpring. FastSpring is a service by Bright Market, LLC. The personal data you enter in the checkout form is collected by FastSpring for the purpose of performing the purchase and issuing your license key. When you activate the newsletter subscription checkbox, FastSpring also transfers your data to our newsletter service provider MailChimp (see above).

Using the Software
Third-Party Copy Protection
We use iLok to implement copy protection and license management for our software products. iLok is a service by PACE Anti-Piracy, Inc. In order to use our software, you must have an account on iLok.com, subject to PACE’s terms of service and privacy policy. Again, Playfair Audio itself does not collect or store personal data about our licensees.

Checking for Updates
Our software may automatically connect to the internet to check for version updates and notifications. That way the software can inform you about available updates or important news regarding your product. For that purpose, version information about the software and operating system you are currently running is transmitted. No personal information, information stored on your computer or otherwise identifiable personal information is transmitted.
Right of Access
You have the right to demand access to your personal data at any time, including origin, recipient, and the use(s) to which your data has been put. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
